Step 1. Remove memory door cover. Remove top two screws from the cover and the toner cartridge

Step 2. Remove back cover, lift input extender , remove 3 screws on back cover. Use small screwdriver to push tabs inward and pull top of cover away from housing. Pry cover away from bottom corners and remove.

Step 3. Remove top cover by prying outward at corners and lifting straight up. Start with front of printer then back.

Step 4. Remove gear from pickup roller by prying tabs apart and sliding off shaft. This gera is keyed and can only go on one way.

Step 5. Remove spring clip, then using pliers turn white plastic couterclockwise and remove.

Step 6. Remove pickup roller out of printer.

Step 7. Remove clip that holds separation pads. When installing new roller make sure guides fit into notches.

Step 8. Use a small screwdriver to remove the smaller pads

Step 9. Note position of spring when pad is out.
