| Most printers use an internal page counter to determine when to display Perform Printer Maintenenace Messages. If you replace the maintenance kit parts you should reset the counter. |

| 1. press Online until light goes off |
| 2. Hold down MENU until PCL CONFIG MENU appears |
| 3. press MENU until SERVICE MSG=ON appears |
| 4. Press + or - key to change display to SERVICE MSG=OFF |
| 5. Press ENTER/RESET MENU key to turn message off, the * will appear then press ONLINE |
| HP LaserJet 4Si: |

| 1. press ONLINE until light goes off |
| 2. press MENU until CONFIG MENU appears |
| 3. press ITEM until SERVICE MSG=ON appears |
| 4. press + or - to change to SERVICE MSG=OFF |

| 1. press MENU four times for CONFIG Menu |
| 2. press ITEM to display SERVICE MESSAGE=OFF |

1. power off printer |
| 2. Hold down ITEM & VALUE keys, turn on printer and release keys when RESET MAINTENANCE Count appears |
| HP LaserJet 8100/8150: |
|
| 1. power OFF printer |
| 2. Hold down SELECT & JOB CANCEL then power ON printer- wait for display to go blank and LED's to light- release keys |
| 3. press MENU then SELECT- SERVICE MODE will be displayed, then it will repeat the power up cycle and SERVICE MODE will again be displayed |
| 4. press MENU to display SERVICE MENU |
| 5. press ITEM until MAINTCOUNT is displayed |
| 6. use +/- to zero out digits |
| 7. press GO to return printer to ready |
| HP 4200/4250/4300/4350 |
|
| 1. Power off printer |
| 2. Hold down "SELECT" botton and power on printer until all three LEDs remain on then release. |
| 3. Press the UP arrow until "New Maintenance Kit" appears. |
| 4. Press "Select" again to reset |
| HP LaserJet 9000: |
|
| 1. power OFF printer |
| 2. press and hold the check key, then power ON - release key when all three LED's come on and SELECT LANGUAGE is displayed |
| 3. press the up arrow until MAINTENANCE KIT is displayed |
| 4. press the CHECK key again to reset maintenance kit |
| HP Color LaserJet 4500: |
|
| 1. power OFF printer |
| 2. Hold down CANCEL JOB & SELECT keys, turn ON printer wait until all three LED's come ON |
| 3. press the right side of MENU +/- key, then press SELECT key |
| 4. this will bring you into SERVICE MODE |
| 5. press ITEM key until FUSER MAINTENANCE COUNT appears |
| 6. press VALUE +/- to zero out |
| 7. press SELECT to save |
| 8. press GO to bring printer back to ready |
